The DTR Foundation, founded by Dr. Garold “Gary” Hamilton, OD, has been serving Jamaica since 2007 and became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2015. The Foundation has delivered real impact — from scholarships and hospital donations to providing over 900 tablets for students across the island.

Now, with Hurricane Melissa approaching Jamaica, DTR is mobilizing immediately to provide emergency healthcare, food, clean water, and educational support for affected families.

This effort is backed by Ambassador Anthony Anderson, Jamaica’s Ambassador to the U.S., and Dr. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness — showing true collaboration between Jamaica and its diaspora.
